Osariemen finally hit 200 hours, still counting, in an attempt to break the GWR for the Longest Reading Marathon Aloud

As the team appreciates Engr. Greg Ogbeifun, Governor Obaseki, Edo State Government

Edo born, Nigerian Literary Enthusiast, Osariemen Angel Asein who is currently attempting to break Guinness World Record for longest reading marathon aloud by an  individual, has finally hit 200 hours and she is still counting. 

Osariemen who began her 'Read-a-thon, marathon on Monday 26th February, 2024 at the Library Complex of Edo State Secretariat Building, Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria has surpassed the current Guinness World Record holder, Turkey's Rysbai Isakov 125 hours and the unofficial John Obot's 145 hours, as she still wears the energy of taking the marathon to above 200 hours. 

In an interview with the Coordinator, School Activities for the event, Hon. Goodluck Osama Ogbeide, an Education Consultant and Award Winning Author expressed satisfaction as well as commended her for the sagacity and dexterity in restoring the dwindling reading culture of the society.

Meanwhile, Osariemen's effort has attracted support from the Edo State Government, where she hails, Organisations, notable personalities, which encompass State Government Officials, Commissioners, Federal/ State Lawmakers, including the First Lady of Edo State, Her Excellency, Mrs. Betsy Obaseki, were amongst those who made a surprise appearance at the Edo State Secretariat Building in Benin City. 

In his remark, the project's Technical Director, Comrade Jeremiah Onoge, DGN said the Attempter is committed to putting Edo State in the spotlight of positivity globally, as he expressed joy and certainty that the Attempter will break the Guinness world record..

Meanwhile, the Director of Media of the Team, Comrade Hope Ehibor appreciated everyone for the support and show of love, as he appealed to everyone to be part of the celebration. 

On her part, the Team Lead and assistant Mrs. Isimeme White of Genius Hub and Comrade Omorogie Amienye respectively, appreciated everyone for the show of love and kind gesture, adding that they are certain that their project, Osariemen will break the record.

During a Monitory and Evaluation interview with Newscrew, the organizers appreciate the Project Overseer, Engr. Greg Ogbeifun who doubled as the President of Ship Owners Association of Nigerian (SOAN) and CEO of Starz Marine and Investment Company for his unfading support for the project which to them culminated to the victory of the attempt, as well as appreciated Edo State Government led by Governor Godwin Obaseki, various  ministries involved for the huge support.
