At 60, you’ve hit the major milestones. You’ve hit 30, done the big celebration, moved on with life after that. You’ve hit 40 when they say life begins and you’ve also splashed out and celebrated that. Then you hit 50 and it was like WHAT?! You called every single person you know to come with all their children and possibly grandchildren to celebrate the mega-milestone that was 50. And now you are 60. Sixty years old. It is a monumental blessing, and a fit not many people get to see. That’s why today we’re counting down 7 Nigerian Celebrities who have been so fortunate and hopefully as the months roll by for some of these, will be so fortunate to celebrate turning 60 this 2024. It is a milestone achievement and here’s a glass to all our people who have spent 6 whole decades in this world.

Nollywood actress and producer Ebele Okaro is a renowned actress who is very popular among Nigerian audiences. She has starred in a number of prominent movies including Road to Yesterday, Living in Bondage: Breaking Free, 4-1-Love, A Tribe Called Judah, and many more. Ebele Okaro was born on January 19th and will this year be clocking 60 years of age!

2. Charles Awurum

Nollywood actor and funny man, Charles Awurum, is a beloved and well-celebrated actor here in Nigeria. He has starred in a lot of movies including Johnbull & Rosekate, Game Fools Play, Silence of the Gods, Yahooze Prophets, and more. Reportedly born on December 23, 1964, Charles Awurum will be clocking 60 years of age.

3. Awele Vivian Elumelu

Awele Vivian Elumelu is a Nigerian businesswoman and philanthropist, who is very popularly married to Tony Elumelu, a Nigerian entrepreneur and philanthropist who founded the Tony Elumelu Foundation. She is a medical doctor by profession. According to reports, Awele is currently 59 years old and will be clocking 60 later this year.

4. Clarion Chukwura

Veteran Nollywood actress Clarion Chukwurah is a well beloved actress who has starred in a number of hit Nollywood productions including Glamour Girls, Abuja Connection, Egg of Life, and more. This year on July 24th, the beloved actress will also be clocking 60 years of age.

5. Rita Edochie

Rita Edochie is a popular actress and sister-in-law to popular actor Pete Edochie. Rita has starred in a number of popular Nollywood films including Blood Affair, Abuja Top Ladies, Stretched Heart, Marriage Pressure, and more. Reportedly born on the 16th of April, Rita Edochie will be clocking 60 this year as well.

6. Kunle Ajayi

Nigerian gospel singer, songwriter, and director of music at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Kunle Ajayi is another man who will be clocking 60 years old this year on the 16th of June.

7. Tony Umez

Finally, popular actor Tony Umez who has starred in over 200 films and is a veteran at this point is also going to be clocking 60 years old on the 23rd of August this year.
